FEES & INSURANCE
I am a fee for service provider and do not participate in any insurance plans.
In order to receive coverage for therapy services, insurance companies typically require a psychiatric diagnosis and will often determine the type of treatment and duration of services allowed for a specific diagnosis. Additionally, some personal information needs to be shared in order to process individual claims. I value confidentiality and believe that therapy should be a collaborative process between the client and the therapist which is why I do not accept insurance payment.
I do however, understand that it is sometimes necessary for families to utilize their insurance benefits. If you decide that you would like to use the mental health benefits available through your insurance company, you may pay at the time of service and then together we can complete the forms necessary for you to be reimbursed through your insurance company. As a licensed clinical social worker, my professional services qualify for reimbursement under most insurance plans accepting out-of-network providers.
You may want to contact your insurance company to ask the following questions:
• Do you accept out of network providers?
• At what percentage will out of network therapy sessions be reimbursed?
• Is there a deductible?
• Does mental health treatment require pre-authorization?
• How many sessions are covered per calendar or plan year?
• What personal and treatment information is required to be submitted?
• What forms need to be submitted in order to be reimbursed for services?
